“I sought treatment from Dr. Joe due to a strain in my lower back. Due to a previous surgery in the area I knew the importance of strengthening to avoid re-injury or further injury; as well as the need to maintain movement. I sought chiropractic treatment to a certain extent; but what sealed the deal in working with Dr. Joe was that the chiropractic adjustments were paired with therapy/exercise sessions.
I feel that the addition of the exercises to my sessions were what allowed the injury to heal as well as it did, without any lasting effects from the injury. There are additional services offered that I have not had the pleasure of utilizing, but that seem to be a wonderful addition to the services that Dr. Joe provides personally. I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Joe and the rest of the staff at HealthFit!”

About Dr. Joseph Musolino
Dr. Joseph Musolino (Dr. Joe) is a chiropractic physician with 20+ years of experience diagnosing and treating spinal, muscle and joint conditions. Born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio, Dr. Joe received his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from the National College of Chiropractic (now called the National University of Health Sciences) in Lombard, Illinois. Dr. Joe focuses his clinical care on manual techniques including soft tissue mobilization, muscle relaxation, and chiropractic manipulative therapy. Using a hands-on approach allows him to restore movement to areas of the spine and other musculoskeletal areas that become restricted from repetitive trauma that builds up over time.
He also includes a number of passive modality therapies such as ultrasound, electrical muscle stimulation and spinal traction in his treatment to aid in tissue healing.
Dr. Joe also is a strength and conditioning specialist who uses his experience and expertise both in exercise prescription and as a chiropractic physician to help his patients meet their health, fitness, and wellness goals. It is his insistence on maintaining regular activity, with an emphasis on strength and conditioning exercises, that he hopes to impart on his patients who struggle with maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
He has post-graduate certifications in lower extremity biomechanics, which allows him to diagnose and treat disorders of the foot, ankle, knee, and hip, as well as through the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), which enables him to focus on golf fitness and swing enhancement.

Dr. Joe is a well-experienced, extremely knowledgeable, Chiropractor. I recommend him all the time to friends and family. The most helpful part of Dr. Joe's practice is that aside from the ever-so-satisfying spine adjustments, he teaches you how to strengthen and build the weakened muscles that are causing the pain. Therefore helping you long term. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Joe!

I have been going to Dr. Joe for over 20 years. My whole family, including my high school daughters see him as well. He always listens to what is going on with my body and then does an assessment so he can see what he needs to work on. He is open and honest about what I need to do on my own to correct the problems. He is also great with personal training and often shares workouts with me or asks about what workouts I am doing. My family loves going to him.
