Getting to know Joseph Rowney
I am a masters degree trained, board certified, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I can prescribe medication and offer ongoing medication management, I can conduct psychiatric evaluations, and provide short term psychotherapy utilizing CBT, motivational interviewing and mindfulness based techniques. I have extensive experience treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, addiction, bipolar disorder, insomnia, personality disorders and more.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I believe in a personalized, holistic and collaborative approach to my treatments and I utilize the most current evidence available. I have great respect for the courage it takes for patients to improve their lives through the help of psychiatric care.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I strive to create an authentic and warm therapeutic relationship and a space where patients will feel like they can be their true selves. I will create a treatment plan in collaboration with the patient and update it as things change. Through medication and therapy, I hope to help patients find relief, and find the inner resources to change their lives for the better.

Joseph is very caring. It is apparent that h his extremely thoughtful about what he decides t perscribe. And he follows up personally to make sure you are doing ok. This is highly unusual in today's medical world. If you want personalized care from an empathetic provider, I would definitely recommend Joseph Rowney.
