About Dr. Joseph Tarantino
Joseph Tarantino is a hard-working Podiatrist that has been in private practice for 20 years, in the communities of Howard Beach and Maspeth, Queens. He received his degree from The New York College of Podiatric Medicine, and completed his residency in advanced podiatric surgery at The New York College, and Saint John's Episcopal Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Tarantino performs all types of reconstructive foot surgery including bunion repair, hammertoe repair, heel spur surgery, neuroma excision and others.
Dr. Tarantino has had special training and certification in wound care and diabetic foot care. He is board certified in wound care by The American Professional Wound Care Association, and holds the status of fellow. He runs a wound care and hyperbaric center at Saint John's Episcopal Hospital. In addition Dr. Tarantino provides a full range podiatric care including wart removal, foot and toe infection treatments, fungal nail and skin conditions, gout, bunions and hammertoes, and treatments for various causes of foot and ankle pain.
