Dr. Thometz is also an expert in arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and arthroscopic ligament reconstruction – both minimally invasive approaches that reduce postoperative pain and recovery time. For hip and knee replacement procedures, he prefers a minimally invasive technique.
Dr. Thometz earned his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School and completed his residency at Southern Illinois University. He went on to complete a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Minnesota.

Canceled the appointment without contacting me

Showed up and was told my appointment was canceled and supposedly that called and left a message that he doesn't do back pain. I could of been told this a month ago. Waited all this time for nothing!

My visit with this doctor and his team was excellent!
This is the second time using this team for my orthopedic problems-
Dr. Joseph Thometz- was a excellent doctor who took the time to listen
and then suggest options... he was able to help me with my pain, and also
looking into the future options.
This was a great visit, and I was taken care of very quickly-

I am disabled and absolutely love the fact that the office is located right at the entrance. From the moment I entered the waiting room until the moment I exited the office, I was greeted and assisted by the most kind and patient staff. I don't look forward to my pain flaring up, but I do look forward to dealing with Dr. Thometz and his staff.
