Getting to know Josephine Driz

Hello, I'm Josephine U. Driz, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC. As a PMHNP, I provide thoughtful, evidence-based care for ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. I blend medication management with therapy support to meet each client’s unique needs. Through Plutonic, I offer accessible, compassionate care built for lasting mental wellness. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just not like yourself, you're not alone. I’m here to listen, understand, and help you find a path forward. As a PMHNP with Plutonic, I offer compassionate, personalized care to support your healing. When you're ready, I’m here to walk with you. My ideal client is someone navigating anxiety, depression, mood changes, or trauma—and looking for compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care. They may feel unheard or discouraged by past experiences and want a provider who listens deeply and builds a treatment plan that may include both medication and therapy. As a PMHNP with Plutonic, I offer thoughtful, client-centered care through a tech-enabled platform designed to make healing more accessible, personalized, and empowering.

What should a new client know about working with you?

ADHD Evaluation and Medication Policy Please note that I do not provide refills or continue existing prescriptions for Adderall or any other stimulant medications without a full diagnostic evaluation. I do not assume care for the sole purpose of ongoing medication management. I accept new patients with symptoms of ADHD only for a comprehensive clinical assessment. As part of this evaluation, all patients are required to complete a QbTest or equivalent objective measure to support an evidence-based diagnosis of ADHD. If ADHD is diagnosed, treatment—including any medication—will be personalized, evidence-based, and carefully tailored to your specific clinical profile, including any co-occurring mental health or medical conditions. Medication decisions are made collaboratively and are part of an overall treatment plan focused on long-term safety and effectiveness. Thank you for your understanding and commitment to high-quality care.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

At Plutonic, every session is a safe space to be yourself and share your story at your own pace. In your first appointment, as part of the initial evaluation process, every patient completes a structured series of Comprehensive Psychiatric Screening to assess for a full spectrum of mental health conditions, including mood ( depression & bipolar), anxiety, trauma-related ( PTSD & complex PTSD), eating disorders, OCD, insomnia, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD, Autism. In addition, each patient receives a comprehensive Personality Inventory for DSM-5, specifically the PID-5 Adult version, at no extra cost. It is a standardized, evidence-based self-report questionnaire to assess maladaptive personality traits across five broad domains, which helps identify patterns that may contribute to current difficulties, as well as positive traits that can be used to support healing, resilience, and long-term coping. This thorough and multidimensional approach ensures that diagnoses are accurate and treatment plans are truly individualized, targeting the specific needs, strengths, and goals of each patient. Our tech-enabled approach combines advanced tools with compassionate care: Comprehensive evaluation to identify conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, or bipolar disorder. Screening tools and lab work, when appropriate, to ensure an accurate diagnosis. Review of your treatment history to understand what’s worked and what hasn’t. Integrated talk therapy—including supportive therapy, psychoeducation, and mindfulness—alongside medication management when needed. Most follow-up sessions last 20–30 minutes and focus on monitoring progress, adjusting your plan, and helping you feel supported every step of the way. Whether you join us in one of our cozy virtual therapy spaces or visit our Norcross or Gainesville offices, Plutonic meets you where you are—with compassion, curiosity, and tech-enabled care designed for real results.
