Dr. Josephine Kleyner is an experienced foot doctor and skilled surgeon, who has extensive training in all facets of podiatric surgery and medicine. She completed an intensive three-year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery residency program at both New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn NY, and New York Downtown Hospital in lower Manhattan, where she served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Kleyner attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine where she earned her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Stonybrook University. Only daughter to immigrant parents from Ukraine, she is fluent in Russian.

The doctor was great. Very personable, knowledgeable, spent time answering my questions. The wait time was very long- just over an hour. They were supposed to call my insurance to recommend me for an MRI and I have not heard from my insurance. This was two weeks ago. I called the office last week to make sure they called my insurance and they couldn't give me an answer. They told me they would call me back and never did. I called again this morning explaining this frustrating situation AGAIN but again have to wait for someone to call me back.

Dr. Kleyner was easy to talk to, thorough and addressed my issue quickly and answered my questions clearly. It was a little annoying to have to redo patient info after inputting it all in ZocDoc, but alas, guess that happens sometimes. I'm glad I found a female podiatrist in my neighborhood.

Dr. Kleyner saw me as soon as I arrived. She was were professional and pleasant. She was also extremely knowledgeable and had a lovely bedside manner. Dr. Kleyner offered multiple treatment options for my condition and she took the time to explain each of them in depth to me. She also answered all of my questions and I did not feel rushed at all. The address listed is incorrect, they relocated to an office 6-7 blocks away -for someone with foot pain that's a long distance to walk! No one called to confirm the appointment or to relate new location. Staff is unfriendly including the physician. They didn't take my referral even though it's the same kind of referral I used with my previous podiatrist and my insurance covered my visits- and it took them 45 mins to tell me that even though I was the ONLY patient there. So after taking the time to go to thier location on no sleep (i have a newborn three weeks old) exhausted and in physical pain they didn't see me. Oh well...going back to my old podiatrist, at least he's nice and takes my referrals!

The appointment was easy to make and the office was somewhat calming, since every time I went there wasn't a waiting room filled with people (makes me antsy). My only complaint is that dr Kleyner is an in network Doctor, but somehow Hamilton podiatry (where she works) is not. They submitted a bill to insurance for my insoles under Hamilton podiatry and they weren't covered so I paid out of pocket. They resubmitted the claim under dr Kleyner and they were covered. How is the facility a doctor works for out of network but the actual Doctor is in network???
