About Dr. Joshua Axman
Dr. Josh Axman, a board-certified family medicine physician, hails from Miami, Florida. He pursued his undergraduate education at the University of Florida, earning a bachelor's degree in biology. After this, he attended Nova Southeastern University for Medical School and completed his residency at Palmetto General Hospital.
Upon completing his training, Dr. Axman decided to establish his medical practice in Colorado, where he has been caring for patients ever since. His journey towards family medicine was inspired during a medical mission trip to Jamaica during his time in medical school. Witnessing the lack of access to healthcare firsthand fueled his desire to become a physician dedicated to serving communities in need.
When he is not practicing medicine, you can find him playing basketball, skiing, hiking, jamming at shows, or spending time with his family.
During his residency at Palmetto General Hospital, Dr. Axman's dedication and leadership qualities were recognized when he was elected as the Chief Resident of his program, an achievement he holds in high regard.
What Dr. Axman finds most fulfilling about primary care medicine is the diversity it offers; each day presents new challenges and opportunities for learning. He thrives on problem-solving, innovative thinking, and collaborating with his patients to enhance their health and quality of life.
In his practice, Dr. Axman has developed a particular interest in preventative medicine, sports medicine, and the management of chronic diseases. After not having one for some time, I went to Dr. Axman as a new patient seeking a PCP that could direct my overall care. We discussed my experiences and concerns, he made some suggestions that I could immediately implement, ran labs and we are embarking on further investigation with a specialist. His office was inviting, the staff was very friendly and their systems seemed efficient. Most importantly, Dr. Axman did what I wanted. He took the time to listen to my story and is participating in the next chapter.

He was not very interested in learning new things as written on his bio board. I was recently diagnosed with mycotoxins (very difficult to diagnose - quite the overwhelming experience) and am now working with an online practice to detox the mold/mycotoxins. I just need a GP to see me in the office on occasion. He didn't even look at my mycotoxin test results that I brought in. His bedside manner is fine and I think for the average patient he is fine.
