Getting to know Joshua Burgett

Josh is board-certified and works with adolescents and adults to assess biological, psychological, social, and environmental factors. He helps patients identify opportunities for growth to improve their quality of life, relationship satisfaction, and work achievement. Josh's evidence-based and patient-centered approach incorporates exercise, mindfulness, nutrition, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), medication management, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and rational emotive behavior therapy. He understands today's world is demanding and wants to provide more accessible care. Josh attended Stanford Law School before completing training at Yale University, where he earned a Master's in Nursing.

my clinician was great. i really trust him and he works with me. i must say that it is very difficult to reach your billing department. i waiting on hold twice for 30 min and never got connected to anyone.

the only complaint is i am having a hard time getting my medication. and when i leave messages for my doctor they don?t get to him. also my pharmacy won?t give me certain info and want my doctor to call them.

my biggest issue was dealing with administration staff after i missed an appointment. i was continuously shamed and reminded i would be dropped if i missed another appointment. what would have been more useful is if the staff took that time to check in and ask what the disconnect was. i know this can sound time intensive but if you had a tips/tricks hand out for those who have missed appointments. especially for my situation, i have developmental disability that affects my attention ability.

it's been tough finding a provider that addresses autism & trauma. i like josh, but might be better off with a provider with autism experience. i believe there was a misunderstanding which caused me to be very upset. i never asked for disability, but that showed up in the notes. that is no true. so a minor error on your part is actually a very serious issue for me. but josh is great and he really listened and advised the best route forward.

i'd had bad experiences with previous providers but the one i have now is great. my first provider seemed great during the appointment but i would have to call to follow up on refills multiple times before they were sent to the pharmacy. when that provider left the practice i was assigned another provider who was awful. the first thing she said to me was that she would not be refilling my medication, that the dea was cracking down on online providers, and that my medication was bad for me. she made me feel like i was a drug abuser or that i was doing something wrong for taking medication that was properly prescribed to me. i was worried that i would have to go back to leaving my condition untreated, which would severely negatively impact my life. however, when i called the company to complain and get a different provider, the person who helped me on the phone was absolutely wonderful and went out of her way to get me an appointment with someone else immediately. my current provider thoroughly answers my quest

joshua, the psych np i met with, provided one of the most thorough intake assessments i've experienced. though thorough, he was timely and extremely kind and patient. he asked what i felt were perfect questions to figure out what kind of help i need.

joshua is great. i needed help figuring out hot to stop a medication and he gave me great advice and now i feel better. he was there for me when i needed him. i need a psychiatrist. doctor who can talk to me in an urgent matter. he fits the bill.
