I started my clinical career as a CNA. I went on to work as an RN in the ICU, neurology, PACU, and neurosurgery — high-acuity environments where you learn quickly that the brain is an organ with biology that can fail, compensate, and recover. I then worked as a psychiatric NP in the emergency department at Renown Regional Medical Center, managing acute psychiatric crises, before serving as a psychiatric NP for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation — where I managed psychiatric care for thousands of incarcerated individuals across one of the most complex, high-volume systems in the country. That background shapes everything about how I practice. I do not approach mental illness as a behavioral problem. I approach it as a biological one. I am the founder of Peak Body and Mind — Reno's only neuroplasticity-based psychiatric practice — and the developer of the Peak Neuroplasticity Protocol™. I specialize in treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, postpartum depression, adult ADHD, and cognitive decline prevention. My training spans the leading edges of integrative and functional psychiatry. I hold a Ketamine Fellowship through the Ketamine Research Institute under Gerald Grass — the only ketamine training program that meets the standards of both the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the American Psychiatric Association. I also hold a ketamine certification and Integrative Psychiatry certification through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. What should a new client know about working with you?

Every new patient receives a Brain Gauge cortical assessment and WAVi quantitative EEG at baseline — objective neurological data most practices never obtain. Protocols are built from those results, not from a checklist. The Peak Neuroplasticity Protocol™ integrates ketamine therapy, IV nutrient therapy, compounded peptides, neural therapy, hormone optimization for mental health, and Stellate Ganglion Block for PTSD into a sequenced, biomarker-gated protocol designed for patients who have not responded to standard care.
