About Dr. Joshua Yager

He completed his residency in family medicine at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine in Roanoke.
Dr. Yager rounds out his education and medical training with an extensive list of current licensure and certifications, including board certification by the American Board of Family Medicine, a Georgia Medical License, DEA license with buprenorphine waiver, Certification in Critical Care, and Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics. I had an excellent experience with Dr. Yeager. I know for myself it can be hard to see a doctor out of anxiety or fear of being shamed for not always making the best choices for my health, and these aren’t things you’ll have to worry about with him. Furthermore he didn’t just take my problem at face value, he asked the right questions to understand and address other factors involved as well. On top of all this, my nurse was delightful. She recognized how anxious I was to draw blood and made the experience as best it could be.

Dr Yager and his staff were professional, attentive, thorough. Pre registration and check in were easy. Calming Christmas played overhead. Plenty of parking. Appointment went well, quick and painless. They were able to obtain bloodwork in office, I didn’t have to go anywhere else for labs. Nurse was so sweet and professional. Exam was thorough and they kept my clothes on, made everything more comfortable. Dr Yager was caring and up to date on guidelines and screenings. Highly recommend!
