Getting to know Joshua (Yehoshua) Carbonera
As a certified Brainspotting therapist with a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro University Worldwide, it is my goal to help my clients discover their power of healing. I believe that everyone is capable of self-discovery and finding a profound capacity to heal and process trauma, anxiety, depression, or any other challenge they may face. I am committed to holding a frame together with my clients as they embark on their journeys inward to find what they need to move forward in their lives.
What should a new client know about working with you?
You will find that I will work to build a collaborative relationship in which you will feel heard and accepted, unconditionally. You will have the chance to speak your mind as we figure out which issues need processing. As we embark on a brainspotting session, we will work together to help you access whatever needs healing. I will sit together with you as your brain takes you on exactly the journey that you must take to heal.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Each process is unique, so no two sessions will look the same. generally, The first few sessions may be focused on building a strong, collaborative relationship (again, it depends on each individual on how long this process will take). Once you are more comfortable with the relationship, we can begin zeroing in on what needs to be processed, then we can begin the actual brainspotting framework.
