Mr. Josue Nguefack works methodically to provide an excellent mental health care approach to his clients regardless of their social and cultural backgrounds. He has been working with individuals with mental illnesses since 2006 as a charge nurse in many healthcare facilities. After becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner, he has continued to focus on the well-being of all his clients by bridging his academic knowledge, experience, and evidence-based practice to implement an individualized care approach that is holistic and efficient. He can manage individuals with various mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD, PTSD, and other psychiatric disorders. Unfortunately, due to the upcoming change in the prescription process, controlled substances will not be prescribed by this provider via telehealth visits. However, equal alternative approaches will be discussed.
Mr. Nguefack obtained his Associate's degree from Standard Health Care, his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Pennsylvania Western University (formerly California University of Pennsylvania), and his Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in psychiatric nursing from both the University of South Alabama and Walden University. He understands that mental health is an essential component of our health and life, and he is dedicated to the transformation process that will make every individual with mental illness feel whole again.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Potential clients should know that they would have my undivided attention during sessions in collecting all necessary information related to their mental health concerns. We would work collaboratively and diligently to find an appropriate diagnosis and treatment approach that would be efficient and personal. Also, a client would have the flexibility to choose among different treatment approaches and would receive education about their efficacy. A client would have the possibility to reach out to the prescriber earlier than the scheduled follow-up date for any issues related to their care and might be referred to other providers if deemed appropriate.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
For any initial visit, a client should provide detailed information related to the reason for their visit, which should include triggering factors, coping strategies, and expectations. Also, the individual should answer generalized questions associated with their mental health concern, such as the quality of their sleep, appetite, and mood. Eventually, the ultimate issue would be dissected and analyzed with the client's cooperation to establish a treatment plan that would include education about the diagnosis, alternative treatments, and evaluations. Follow-up visits would be shorter and focused on the recovery process and the effectiveness of the implemented care.
