Born and raised in western Kentucky, Joy completed her Associate degree in Nursing in 1994 at Hopkinsville Community College Main Campus. She and her partner, Larry, moved to Las Vegas in 2017, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2020 from Nevada State University. Joy then completed her Master’s Degree in Nursing in 2023 at Northern Kentucky University. Joy began working with mental health clients in 2008 and quickly recognized the urgent need for skilled and empathetic providers. She strives to be a provider who approaches mental health care with compassion, dignity, and understanding. Joy is committed to ensuring her clients receive the most up-to-date, evidence-based care for their mental health concerns. She also has one grown son, a lawyer, back in Kentucky. Her hobbies include reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and her golden retriever, Kimba.
