Joy is like a ray of sunshine every time I have an appointment with her. She is incredibly knowledgeable on prescriptive practices even beyond medication. Very easy to talk to and an incredible human to have as a part of your care team.
Dr Joy is god send. So happy to have found her, I was struggling with worst anxiety lately, I have had many doctors prior to this, but it always felt like I couldn’t open up to them. Eventually I got some help I was stable, but I moved to a different state and couldn’t carry on with them. Frustrating thing about US healthcare, I had to start all over again, one of the docs suggested only by examining virtually that my gut health is the issue I didn’t have depression in the past. And I was like I was on SSRI for 4 years now, i bounced back because of it, what do you even know I never had depression over 10 mins call. For 2 years not one day passed by without weeping. It’s exhausting to explain it to people how you’re suffering and have them deny your reality. Somehow I stumbled upon Doctor O’Brien. It has been only one session, I felt heard, listened to, empathised with. As someone with mental health issues bare minimum we want is to be heard without judgement.

Joy is appropriately named. Her interest in my wellbeing was immediately evident and I felt much better after a very productive first session. I now have a plan to start making the necessary changes in my life and I’m thrilled to have her support and guidance.
