About Joyce Moon

This provider is not licensed in the state of CT, MA, MD, IN, OK, OR, PA, TN, TX, HI, MT, IL, VT Joyce lives in the Pacific Northwest and has been a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for 6+ years. She has worked in a variety of settings including PHP (mental health facility treating SUD, eating disorders, anxiety, depression), transitional care, skilled nursing, long term care, and school food in the K-12 setting. She believes that our relationships with food and how we care for ourselves have multiple layers that intersect. Helping clients to eat well and have more peace with food is a joy for her. She is excited to support clients as they make lasting improvements to their nutrition, health, and relationship with food. Joyce aims to provide care that is evidence-based, compassionate, and kind. She prioritizes client-centered care, collaboration, and meeting you where you are. Her nutrition philosophy is based in an integrated approach and whole person care. She believes it is important to consider how nutrition and well-being intersect with mental health and medical conditions, culture, food access, and lived experience as unique individuals. Her approach is weight-inclusive and she encourages mindful, intuitive eating. Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other; I look forward to meeting you! We will discuss your hopes and goals for your nutrition and health, and complete an important part of your care: a nutrition assessment. You can expect to be asked questions that help paint the picture of your current nutrition; we will review your medical and nutrition history, recent labs, and discuss your relationship with food. By the end of the session, you will have an individualized plan for your nutrition care moving forward and at least one action item/short-term goal to support your progress towards your nutrition and health goals.
