“My ear was killing me and I went in for relief. Juan was so caring and thoughtful. He listened intently on what I had to say then said convincingly we are going to have you out of pain in no time. He was right! Jeannette came in next and within minutes I was pain free. Thank you Juan and Jeanette. ”

About Juan Powe
Juan joins American Family Care Raleigh Midtown as a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. His interest in the medical field was sparked by his beloved grandmother, who encouraged him to take medical science courses in high school. Armed with a passion to improve the health of others, Juan obtained his Associate Degree in Nursing from Wake Technical Community College's Southern Wake Campus, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Winston-Salem State University, and a Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Family Health Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Juan has served as a bedside nurse and answered the call of the COVID-19 pandemic. He traveled as a COVID response nurse to hospitals suffering shortages prior to practicing as a nurse practitioner. He enjoys educating students, other healthcare providers, and the community. American Family Care Raleigh Midtown offers Juan the opportunity to make meaningful connections that improve patients' health one visit at a time. Outside of the office, Juan can be found visiting the local greenways, spending time with family, and hitting up local festivals and vendors. As a native of North Carolina, born and raised in Raleigh, Juan is committed to giving back to his community through his education and service.

I did not make it past the front desk, the person who was at the front desk said that they "would know" that there was nothing they could do for me and wouldn't let me speak with the provider to at least ask questions, which is advertised on this app, I was never seen for anything and had to leave after I arrived 30 minutes early. I got none of the help I needed or spoke to anyone besides the front desk and was turned away.
