I’ve worked with a lot of nutrition professionals over the years, but Juan stands out because he truly gets it. As a first-generation American from immigrant parents himself, he understands the cultural role food plays in my life — the traditions, the social side, and the emotional connections that go far beyond just “calories in, calories out.” That shared experience means he approaches my nutrition with empathy and realism, not judgment.
Juan also lifts, so he understands the demands of training and how to fuel for strength, recovery, and performance while still keeping body composition goals in mind. He’s supportive, encouraging, and makes each check-in feel like a conversation with someone who’s genuinely invested in my progress.
On top of all that, he’s just a good dude — pleasant to talk to, easy to relate to, and always able to keep things positive while still holding me accountable. I can’t recommend him enough.

Juan is very professional. He takes the time to listen to his patients and creates a plan unique to that persons needs. He knows every individual has their own goals and he works with you to achieve them. This is my first time working with a nutritionist and I was not sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable Juan made me feel. I am trying to become healthier and make better food choices while losing weight. Juan reminds me I am not on a diet and encourages me at each appointment. He asks how I am doing and makes suggestions that keep me motivated. I am getting married later this year and I am working with Juan to get myself ready to look and feel my best. I can’t wait to update this review with the progress I made! I have been working with Juan since August of 2024 and let me say it has been great! As a Latino living in a Hispanic household it’s very difficult to incorporate healthy meals to our culture. Let me say Juan has been able to help me find better alternatives that are just as good or even better! I also work in a very demanding job where I’m required to stay for 16hrs multiple times a week and he has helped me create meal plans to get me through those long shifts and keep me full and energized. The meals we have come up with are very diverse and never get boring. Juan is not only great with meals but keeps track of my daily activity, drinking habits, snacking(which I struggle with the most). He provides very informative advice whenever I struggle with something. Physical activity is another key part when it comes to weight loss and Juan helped me build my confidence when it came to going. Overall Juan is one of the best nutrition I have been with and I plan to continue to work with him!

As a Latino, it’s hard to explain how food plays a part in our culture and having a dietitian who understands that is priceless. Juan is the type of couch I’ve needed to further obtain my goals, and will be the reason I get the body I’ve always dreamed of. I’m already down 6 lbs since starting with Juan, and he’s going to keep me going. I always appreciate how Juan is able to bring a positive outlook, and comfort to our sessions.. I can always be honest without fear of judgment which can only help me for the better. I highly recommend Juan to anyone who’s struggling.

Working with Juan was such a blessing for me and my family. I recently lost my father due to diabetes complications. The loss was rather challenging and it made me reflect on my own health habits. Realizing I was following a similar path as my father, I reached out for help of a professional. Juan was able to get me to make tiny little changes that have added up to a big impact on my weight, and really more specifically, how I feel in my body day to day. Juan is a great nutritionist. He's helped me improve my overall health as well as lose weight. The diet and exercise plans were very reasonable and were easy to follow. Even when couldn't follow the plan, Juan never made me feel ashamed about it, but always focused on celebrating my accomplishments. He’s really cool and makes dieting and eating healthy feel actually doable. He lets me pick out a bunch of different meals that cater to my taste preferences and if any of them don’t work out I can message him at anytime for a replacement recipe. I liked him so much now my partner sees him too!

I believe Juan is one of the best RDs in the US. He is the RD that everyone needs. He is always on time, relatable, accountable, knowledgeable, and always tells you what you need to hear. If you have recently heard from your doctor that your health must be a priority, I recommend Juan.

I have been working with Juan for over a year. When I started working with him my main goal was to lose weight and keep the weight off to feel better about myself before my wedding. He helped me lose over 25 pounds and taught me the skills to keep that weight off. Now I am pregnant and he is helping me stay healthy and make better choices when those cravings kick in.
