Getting to know Judgette Green

As a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 18 years of clinical experience, I am deeply committed to helping individuals and families find balance, resilience, and purpose in their mental health journey. My background in psychiatric nursing and public health gives me a holistic and personalized approach to care, one that integrates evidence-based treatment with compassion, education, and empowerment. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with people of all ages, from children and adolescents to adults and seniors, helping them navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, mood disorders, sleep difficulties, and more. I am focused on understanding your unique story, tailoring treatment plans that combine thoughtful medication management, psychiatric consultation, and supportive therapeutic strategies. I believe mental health care should be accessible, respectful, and stigma-free. My practice is a safe, non-judgmental space where you are heard, understood, and actively involved in your own care. Together, we’ll work toward realistic goals, whether that means finding emotional stability, improving daily functioning, enhancing relationships, or simply feeling more like yourself. I’m proud to serve patients in North Carolina, offering both in-person and virtual appointments for convenience and flexibility. I’m also in-network with many major insurance plans, as well as Medicaid and Medicare, and can assist with superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. Choosing a provider is a personal decision, and I’m honored that you’re considering me for your care. If you’re ready to take the next step toward improved mental wellness, I would be privileged to support and guide you every step of the way

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients should know that I truly listen. I believe mental health care works best when you feel heard, respected, and involved in your treatment. I take the time to understand your concerns, goals, and life circumstances before making recommendations. My approach is thoughtful and collaborative. Treatment is never one-size-fits-all. I partner with clients to create individualized, evidence-based plans that may include medication management, education, and supportive strategies tailored to your needs and comfort level. I value transparency and education. I explain diagnoses, treatment options, and medications in clear, understandable language so you can make informed decisions with confidence. I welcome questions and encourage open communication. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space. Whether you’re seeking care for anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma, or life transitions, you’ll be met with compassion and professionalism. My goal is to reduce stigma and help you feel supported from your very first visit

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Initial Evaluation Your first appointment is a comprehensive assessment. We’ll review your current concerns, symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, past medications, lifestyle factors, and treatment goals. This visit allows me to fully understand your needs and determine whether medication may be helpful. Collaborative Treatment Planning If medication is recommended, we’ll discuss options together. I explain the purpose of the medication, expected benefits, possible side effects, and alternatives. You are always involved in the decision-making process. Starting Medication Thoughtfully When appropriate, medications are started at a safe, effective dose and adjusted gradually. My goal is to find the lowest dose that provides meaningful improvement while minimizing side effects. Follow-Up and Monitoring Follow-up visits are scheduled to monitor progress, side effects, and overall response. These appointments allow us to fine-tune treatment, make adjustments, or explore other options if needed. Ongoing Support and Education Medication management is not just about prescribing; it’s about ongoing care. I provide education, answer questions, and help you understand how medication fits into your overall wellness plan. Coordination of Care When appropriate, I collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care. Regular Reassessment As your needs change, we reassess your treatment plan. Medication can be adjusted, continued, or discontinued thoughtfully and safely, always with your long-term well-being in mind.
