As a New Jersey native, Dr. Hip-Flores attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. Dr. Hip-Flores earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York where he was honored as the SUNY Downstate Chief Resident of the Year 2011 and Kings County Hospital Chief Resident of the Year 2011.In Maryland, Dr. Hip-Flores obtained sub-specialty training in orthopaedic adult reconstruction surgery at the Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, Rubin Institute of Advanced Orthopedics. Dr. Hip-Flores is fellowship trained in Orthopaedic Adult Reconstructive Surgery with special attention to hip and knee replacement, minimally invasive joint replacement including anterior hip replacement, as well as complex revision hip and knee reconstruction. Before his tenure at Healthcare Associates in Medicine, a division of Orlin & Cohen Medical Specialists Group, Dr. Hip-Flores volunteered in Operation Walk , providing medical care to those who live in impoverished countries. Presently, he continues to serve as a founding team physician at the Center for Hip and Knee Replacement Center of Staten Island University Hospital South Campus.

The receptionist and medical assistant were personable and helpful. I felt Dr. Jules David Hip-Flores answered question if asked, but really didn't offer a lot if not asked. Maybe he felt my concerns weren't that serious? He suggested PT, exercise, and that if I had any additional concerns about my hip that I should seek out a physiatrist since he is a hip surgeon. He told me I didn't need surgery (I didn't think I did). Dr. Flores is probably good for someone who needs surgery, although I would feel more comfortable with a doctor who engages more. I'm sure he's helping a lot of patients with serious hip issues.
