About Julia Berman
Julia Berman is a board certified Physician Assistant and graduate of Western University of Health Sciences. She is currently working on a Dermatology Fellowship through the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and is an active member of the California Academy of Physician Assistants.
An LA native, she completed her undergraduate degree at USC where she developed a healthy love for football. Prior to following her passions into dermatology, she worked in Pulmonology and Critical Care where she advanced her medical knowledge and developed her dexterity doing advanced procedures. Julia is enthusiastic about skin care and enjoys using all of the intricacies of medicine to help her patients shine brighter than the SoCal sun.

My visit to the Metropolis Dermatology went well for my first time there. Dr. Julia Berman was friendly and so was the staff. I would go back if I didn’t live so far! The drive there and back is 2 hours for me so that was the only downside.

I have not gone to a dermatologist since I was a teenager and was really nervous about going back and disappointment ease all of my anxieties. It was a really nice office. It was very clean and my partner and I went in for back to back skin check appointments. The appointment was quick, but thorough and the doctor was very personable and easy to communicate with and she also had a great communication style that made her extremely approachable and easy to talk to. I highly recommend coming here if you feel nervous about going to the dermatologist, this will be a great experience!

So much pre-appointment texting and emailing with weird 24 hour cut offs to respond. So many texts!!! It hit truly annoying. However, office was efficiently run, no wait time and the NP was very clear explaining what she was doing and why in the exam.

This office is immaculate and is run so perfectly. Everything moves so quickly and feels futuristic in a good way. PA Berman was an extremely clear communicator, very kind, very direct, and I felt confident that her clinical insights were reliable.

Would definitely see Julia Berman again, but feeling iffy about the office overall. The desk staff reads out your prescriptions in front of the entire waiting room and you can’t see a derm for more than one dermatology-related issue at a time. Parking was also $20 for 30 minutes.
