About Julia Lekht
Julia Lekht, PA-C, is a nationally certified, New York State licensed Physician Assistant specializing in Orthopedics. Under the direction of Dr. Nicholas Wessling, Julia manages all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, patient education, interpreting diagnostic tests, and assisting in surgery.
Julia completed her undergraduate education at Carnegie Mellon University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Psychology with a minor in Biomedical Engineering. After five years working in cognitive neuroscience research, she pursued her passion for medicine by earning a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Pace University in partnership with Lenox Hill Hospital. In her youth, Julia played soccer and swam competitively; she now enjoys playing Ultimate Frisbee and disc golf.

I arrived on time, filled out the intake forms, and was seen by a physician assistant who recommended an X-ray before asking what my injury was — a sequence that didn't inspire confidence. He then asked for my height and weight, information already on the forms. I waited 25 minutes alone in the treatment room. The doctor never came. I went to the front desk, asked for a refund, and received one without a word of apology. The clinic was dirty and the staff were indifferent. I've given one star because zero isn't an option.

I was seen very promptly and communication of my injury was very clear. I was struggling with crutches though and the office staff just watched and no one offered to help me get the door which I found odd. They weren’t busy with other patients at the time.

PA Julia as so friendly and professional and made me feel at ease at my appt-she fixed my pain and I walked into the office on crutches and walked out without needing them! She has to drain a baker’s cyst and give me cortisone injections for my arthritis she knew exactly what the issue was! The staff was friendly and helpful. I will def be back for my future knee issues and highly recommend them!! Thanks Julia!!

It was a good experience, but ti turned out it all could have been done by phone. My companion tried but was unsuccessful by phone. I regret the $60 round trip cab fare, but Anne believes she can do it by phone next time.
