About Dr. Julie Baker

My primary goal as a health care provider is to be a source of support and empowerment to the patients I am able to serve. I started my professional life as a mental health counselor and later trained as a nurse practitioner because I realize how often mental health impacts the physical and I wanted the chance to become a more holistic care provider. My experiences throughout my career as a health care provider have reinforced my belief that prevention is one the most important interventions in health care. The human factor is ever present, but I hope to empower patients to be the healthiest they can be realizing that we all have one day and one choice at a time. Those positive choices multiply, leading to a healthier lifestyle. My hometown is Oklahoma City, but I have called the Triangle my home for over 15 years. We enjoy traveling around North Carolina and beyond as often as possible to take in the beautiful trees, beaches, and mountains. In my free time, I relax and recharge by spending time with family and friends, reading, traveling, and walking outdoors.
