About Julie Hurst
Julie Hurst, PA-C, grew up in Arlington, Virginia. She earned her bachelor's degree in chemistry with a concentration in biochemistry from George Mason University and a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Shenandoah University. Julie’s previous background is in Genetics and Dermatology. She is excited to continue her career as a Physician Assistant specializing in Ear, Nose, & Throat (ENT). In her leisure time, she enjoys gardening, hiking, baking bread, and going to the beach. She is currently welcoming new patients.

I woke up in the middle of the night unable to hear from my right ear. I was not in pain and decided not go to the ER or urgent care, but instead see if I could see an ENT specialist before the Thanksgiving weekend. I was surprised when I found availability for a same day visit with Julia, the PA specialist. The confirmation with the office was seamless and they called me to understand more about why I had booked the appointment. When I reached the office, the front desk staff were friendly and professional. The waiting area was clean and calming. I had a 10 min wait, which was to be expected since I arrived 15 minutes early. The nurse, Shantel, who took me in initially was professional, communicative, and reassuring. Overall it was a positive interaction. Julia was equally as professional and clear. She provided clear context on what she was seeing, what she was doing to relieve the discomfort, and what my next steps should be. Overall very happy with my visit.

My experience with this practice and provider was really great! Julie did a very thorough evaluation of a tonsil issue, answered all of my questions and explained the different treatment options. She even got a second opinion from another provider and gave me her card in case I had any additional questions. I'm used to busy in-and-out urgent care settings, so it was really refreshing to have such a thorough evaluation. The rest of the staff were very attentive as well. The practice was able to schedule me for a routine procedure in just a few weeks and they were willing to work with my insurance limitations. I even received a complimentary scan of my sinuses which was neat. I would definitely recommend this practice and Julie Hurst, PA.

Julie was incredible—she quickly identified the issues I was having and set clear next steps to address the issues. She very clearly outlined potential solutions, even suggesting the less invasive option is likely to solve my problem and assured me we can always reevaluate later if the initial procedure does not fix my issues. Her bedside manner was great, and I felt like she was really listening to and addressing each of my concerns! The scheduler and front desk staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful.

Amazing!! It’s so rare to receive excellent healthcare but this location went above and beyond, for context this is in Alexandria and do beware of building numbers and parking, it’s either the street or a garage around back, I went to the wrong building and parked in another garage the blocks down and walked to my appointment and was pretty late. I called several times asking for help and directions and Jenna was the absolute sweetest and most helpful! Then after being seen, the nursing staff was helpful I had George and another female nurse who were very thorough and my Dr, Dr. Julie was so kind and patient, explained everything before doing things paused if I had questions. Took time to explain the results and next steps from medication to follow up, just everything you could ask for in health care. Also I got an appointment same day I was a new patient but you’d really never know. They really put the care in health care and can’t thank them all enough! On my way to recovery now.

PA Lukas Williams was excellent. They addressed so many concerns, provided examples, large screen diagrams and broke down so many concepts that I didn't otherwise understand. PA Lukas Williams was super knowledgeable and for the identified concerns that he couldn't address, he provided referrals. I have learned quite a bit and have way fewer questions that I did. would recommend over any other ENT I've seen in this area. I really appreciate his time and expertise regarding Ear and throat symptoms.

Best office visit in decades! Julie was attentive, clear, precise, thorough and caring. Most office visits these days, in my experience, are wham, bam thank you maam. Julie did not rush anything and made sure care was given, understood and gave me numerous options to go forward as well. I don't know if I'm clear but I could not give a higher recommendation.
