About Dr. Julie Jackson
Julie Jackson, MD completed medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where she graduated with high honors and as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. During medical school, she was awarded a scholarship in Dermatology research and received Magna Cum Laude Honors for her research in Dermatology.
She then completed a Medicine internship at the University of California Los Angeles, where she was awarded commendation for excellence in medical student teaching. She continued her training at the University of California Los Angeles where she completed a Dermatology residency, serving as chief resident her final year, followed by a Dermatopathology fellowship, where she also served as chief fellow.
Dr. Jackson was born and raised in Fort Worth and graduated Summa Cum Laude in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has received numerous awards, has been involved in presentations at scholarly meetings, published several book chapters, and several peer-reviewed papers in the areas of dermatology and dermatopathology. Dr. Jackson’s interests include adult and pediatric medical dermatology, skin cancer prevention and treatment, and dermatopathology.
Dr. Jackson is double board certified by the American Board of Dermatology in the specialty of dermatology and sub-specialty of dermatopathology. She is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatopathology, Women’s Dermatologic Society, and Texas Medical Association. Dr. Jackson was selected as one of the Texas Super Doctors Rising Stars in Texas Monthly magazine in 2017 and 2018 in the category of Dermatology.
