What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe you make better decisions about your own care when you actually understand what is happening and why. So I explain my thinking in plain terms, welcome your questions, and make sure your input shapes the plan. Sessions are collaborative and unhurried, not prescriptive. When my patients need therapy or additional support, I make it a point to connect them with the right fit. Good psychiatric care does not happen in isolation, and I take that seriously.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Every patient begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, not a rushed intake. I take the time to understand your history, what you’re experiencing now, and what matters most to you before making any recommendations, because getting it right from the start matters. From there, your input shapes the plan. I’ll explain my thinking in plain language, walk you through your options, and welcome every question. You’re never just along for the ride. Follow-up visits are where we fine-tune. We’ll check in on how you’re feeling, what’s working, and what isn’t, and adjust course together. Each session includes time to talk through what’s on your mind, not just a quick medication check. The goal isn’t only easing symptoms. It’s helping you build a life that feels steady and sustainable, and I stay invested in your progress well beyond that first appointment.
