About Dr. Kara Kassay

Dr. Kassay earned her Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed her Residency in Family Medicine at Scottsdale Memorial Hospital. She lives by example and practices her own medicine. An avid cyclist, she dabbles in nearly every sport. She loves the diversity of landscape, art, music, and food in Portland. She particularly enjoys capturing the essence of life through her photography, which decorates her exam rooms. She is also an accomplished urban chicken farmer, caring for three hens: Queen Margot, ZsaZsa, and Bijou.

Dr. Kassay addressed all my needs at my first consult. The office was friendly upon greeting and I felt very welcomed as a new patient. From being weighed and seen by Dr Kassey, we had a very comprehensive meeting and immediately felt comfortable with the direction that we need to go. I also appreciate that she's an athlete and can understand the sports end of things.
At this time, I whole heartedly believe that she's my Primary Care Dr going forward and will update my care as we go:)

I’m really bummed by how poor of experiences I’ve had with Dr. Kassay, because I really enjoyed my interactions with the nurses and front desk. I had to ask several times across multiple visits for a blood test, after she had previously agreed to test for it. I guess she forgot?
Additionally, she shamed me and did not make me feel safe to disclose more information with her for fear of further judgement.
