About Karen Wheeler
Karen Wheeler, CNM, CNP, has been in practice for over 20 years, providing both obstetrical and well-woman care. She is a graduate of the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, where she earned a Certificate in Nurse-Midwifery and a Master’s in Women’s Health Nursing. She also completed the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program at SUNY Margaret Sanger Planned Parenthood of NYC and received her BS from SUNY Empire State College.
Karen finds being a part of the community and providing care especially important to her. In her free time, she is an avid reader and enjoys photography, walking, biking, and knitting. Karen is also an active member of her parish.

Office not pleasantly clean, the smell when you first walk in the office is so bad. There were also roaches crawling on the floor. Very very bad office

Karen Wheeler has excellent bedside manner. She’s very sweet and knows what she’s doing. She takes her time with you and makes you comfortable. She asks good questions.
The office staff is standard— not not friendly, but not overly amicable. Being that I booked online they thought I was a new patient, had me fill out a million forms etc and then I had to tell them I’ve been going there 4 years. Mistakes happen… definitely give Karen a try. She’s a gem!!
