What should a new client know about working with you?

In my sessions, I use attachment theory, EFT, Gottman, CBT, and person-centered modalities. My values inspire me to show care and love to all my clients. I am passionate about helping people through their journeys of self-improvement and understanding. I strive to create a comforting and understanding environment where clients can heal safely. I create personalized treatments in all of my sessions to meet the unique needs of each client. I believe that no single modality or technique suits everyone perfectly. I balance empathy and listening with a gentle push to help my clients meet the goals they have set.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My understanding of trauma and attachment theories drives me to help clients build secure attachments and resilience in their relationships. I offer Christian Counseling to those that want to incorporate Christian beliefs into their sessions. I also am passionate about working with those who have Chronic Illness. As someone that also deals with Chronic Illness I have a personal perspective on this population. Another passion of mine is working with Military/Veteran populations. I worked at an Inpatient with the Military unit and am married to a retired Vet. I believe that all people deserve high quality mental health services that is effective. I believe in continuing progress to goals and do not believe in keeping a client without the client receiving value from sessions. I believe every client or couple is different and have different needs. With this there needs to be flexibility in fitting all those needs within treatment.
