With a strong interest in rural medicine, Dr. Jeter participated in the Trover Rural Track in Madisonville, KY, which included additional training and patient encounters in rural healthcare settings. She has a passion for serving underserved areas, evidenced by her medical mission trip to Kenya, Africa, during her training. Dr. Jeter completed her general surgery residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia, where she was honored with both the Intern of the Year and Chief Resident of the Year awards. After residency, she moved to LaGrange, Georgia, to begin her practice with Wellstar General Surgery. Outside of medicine, Dr. Jeter enjoys spending time with her spouse, two children, and their family dog. They are active outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy hiking, sports—particularly basketball—and socializing with family and friends. Dr. Jeter frequently visits her family in Kentucky and is an avid Louisville Cardinal sports fan. She is excited to become a part of the LaGrange community!
