About Karin Peacock
Karin Peacock has been a certified Licensed Midwife since 2016 after graduating from The Midwives College of Utah. Before coming to Rainier OBGYN, Karin worked with Dr. Ho at BabyCatchers and Beyond for 6 years. She is passionate about offering personalized, holistic care for all women during their childbearing years. Empowering and educating women during this sacred time of life and connecting them with valuable resources in the community is the foundation of each prenatal appointment. Her goal is for parent’s to leave each visit with confidence, information and feeling heard.
Her journey into midwifery began over 20 years ago by teaching childbirth classes, supporting women as a doula and birth assisting at Tacoma’s local birthing center. She also practiced as a Licensed Massage Therapist for over 12 years and incorporates stretching and body awareness during her prenatal appointments to help women feel more comfortable in their expanding body during pregnancy and postpartum.
Karin was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and has enjoyed living across the United States and Hawaii. She loves spending time and adventuring around the globe with her husband Justin and two children. When not at work, you will find her in her garden, swimming year around at Pt. Defiance and baking for her friends and family.
