About Karissa Lucas
Karissa is physician assistant specializing in dermatology. She completed her undergraduate studies at Temple University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, before advancing her education at Slippery Rock University, where she earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies.
Karissa is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) and the Pennsylvania Dermatology Physician Assistants (PDPA), which keeps her at the forefront of the latest advancements in the field. Her professional interests include the early detection and treatment of skin cancer, as well as educating patients about skin health and preventative care. She is deeply passionate about fostering positive, informative relationships with her patients, empowering them to take an active role in their health. She is excited to be joining TDS and working closely with patients tailoring to their unique needs.

The Dermatologist Specialist including the receptionist and assistant was absolutely, phenomenally awesome!! ! Karissa Lucas was the best hands down, knows her stuff and I highly recommend her. She was friendly, personable, knowledgeable and what was shocking, that I didn't expect, she treated me on the spot at my first appointment! Most offices want you to make several appointments, talk down to you and then say we need you to come back…blah blah..nope! Ms. Lucas was grabbing the necessary items to treat me after a quick, but effective diagnosis. Lastly, thanks to ZOCDOC, that rated The Dermatology Specialists - North Wilmington very high, I was able to make an appointment in 2 days!! My healthcare provider gave me offices that couldn’t see me till late December and January which is ridiculous. When I say I'm truly impressed…thats an understatement! ??????
