Karli Goodman, PMHNP-BC is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to supporting women’s mental health and empowering women to thrive in all aspects of their lives. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland and her Master of Science in Nursing from Drexel University, completing her clinical training at Johns Hopkins Hospital in psychiatry, including emergency, detox, general, and peripartum mental health care.
Today, Karli provides outpatient mental health evaluations and medication management for a wide range of conditions, with special interests in peripartum mental health and the spectrum of bipolar illness. She integrates evidence-based medication management with cognitive-behavioral and lifestyle approaches, always centering compassion and collaboration in her care.
As the founder of a woman-owned practice, Karli is passionate about creating safe, empowering spaces for women to access the mental health care they deserve. She believes strongly in fostering resilience, supporting those through challenges, and helping them embrace their strength.
Outside of her clinical work, Karli embraces creativity and entrepreneurship. She designed and operates a fun vacation rental in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and finds joy in interior design and DIY projects. She enjoys evenings outside on the porch with her rescue pit bulls, Lexi and Sampson—a reminder of the balance, comfort, and connection she encourages her patients to cultivate in their own lives.
What should a new client know about working with you?
The first session discusses specific mental health concerns, personal goals, treatment history, and tailored care options. Follow-up sessions assess medication efficacy and client progress.
Karli believes joint decision-making between provider and client is the key to treatment success.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Karli doesn't rush the process. She wants clients to feel their best as soon as possible. Albeit, she values taking time to understand the root cause of behavioral health problems. In better understanding the "why", she is able to work with clients in changing maladaptive thoughts and behaviors alongside medication management.

Very kind and seems like she truly listens.
Her demeanor was cheerful and upbeat.
We went over all the medications that I have. She took the time to discuss and currently I am only taking what works. What a relieve to discard all the other medication. Now we can discuss how I feel and if she feels additional medicine to enhance what I am taking we can discuss. She is a pleasure to work with.

I’ve gone through a hundred psychs at this point so intake for a new one can be tedious and disappointing. But I was pleasantly surprised seeing Karli. I felt very heard and engaged with.
