About Dr. Karyn Haitz
Dr. Karyn Haitz is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She was born and raised locally in Long Beach, California, where she attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School. She attended Stanford University for her undergraduate degree in Human Biology. After college, she spent a year as a clinical research coordinator at the Stanford Cancer Survivorship Lab. She then attended Harvard Medical School, where she obtained her MD degree. During medical school, she was awarded the George W. Hambrick Medical Student Grant Targeting Melanoma & Skin Cancer Research by the American Skin Association.
Dr. Haitz completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Mount Auburn Hospital. She completed her dermatology residency at the Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she received extensive training in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Haitz has published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and presented at national meetings. In her free time, she loves spending time with her daughter, family, and friends. She is bilingual in Spanish and enjoys hiking, yoga, and playing violin and piano.

I don’t usually write reviews but I got hurt on the way to my appointment and they helped take care of me which was above and beyond. I told them it was my first appointment with a dermatologist. No explanations were given for anything. Can't say they were unfriendly, but they weren't friendly either. No attempt at building any sort of relationship....so why would I recommend them to anyone? I went to that practice based on a recommendation for one of the other doctors. I got a different doctor, okay, I figured I would try it. Not impressed at all.

My appointment went very well . I received confirmations both from the doctor’s’ office and Zocdoc prior to my appointment. My doctor was very professional and compassionate. I believe those qualities make for a great doctor .
