“Hands down Dr. Agresti is the best physician I have ever had the honor to have on my care team. She includes me and makes me feel like I have a say in my healthcare. She has phenomenal bedside manner making conversation normal and easing any anxieties with the situation at hand. She really understands her patients and puts their feelings first.
Dr. Agresti is dedicated to her work, and strives to be a partner with her patients. I have a lot of anxiety and Dr. Agresti always knows the best way to approach care with me in an informative and relaxed manner. I know I can trust Dr. Agresti with my care and have zero reservations with her as a person and her abilities as a great physician. She really understands me and that's something so important for me. About Dr. Kate Agresti
Philosophy of Care
I was raised to treat others as I would like to be treated, and I try to bring that philosophy to every patient encounter. To do this, one must always have respect for the patient and be an outstanding listener.
Why I Entered Medicine
I have always had a passion for the biological sciences and knew I wanted a career in that field-specifically, research. But after working as a laboratory technician during college at Albany Medical College, I realized I missed human interaction. I was more interested in getting to know my co-workers than my test tubes. This was when I realized I could incorporate my love for science and people into becoming a physician.
Education and Training
I earned my Bachelor's degree from Albany Medical College and went on to receive my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the New York Institute of Technology, New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. I completed my residency in Family Medicine at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem.
Community and Charity Involvement
During my family medicine residency, I volunteered annually at the first aid station of the American Cancer Society Relay for Life in Saucon Valley, Pa.
Personal Interests
Above all, I enjoy spending time with my family. I love the outdoors and spend most of my free time hiking, kayaking, and camping with my husband and our dog.
