I like her in the beginning because she’s understanding my needs and actually followed up with my questions and medical test. However after she failed to read my gestational diabetes test I had a little difficulty with trusting her to handle more of my medical needs. I even asked her to check my glucose test twice and she said I passed and everything was normal and I continued to trust her, until I asked again for the 3rd times after one of nurses from my insurance company raised a concern about my glucose test results and then she realized that there’s a mistake and she did apologize and said that there’s a misunderstanding however that’s really a bad mistake to make thinking about that I just put myself and my baby in danger for the longest time. I had my test done on September (28weeks) and just found out that I have GD at 37weeks pregnant, 2 months later. And when I asked her in person if I’m high risk she said “no” but later put on my summary that I’m high risk indeed. Thankfully I didn’t have any complications during the time, but I’m worried about my baby’s health, and I still unhappy with how everything turned out. It’s very difficult to accept to know that you’re trusting the Optum to provide you the best journey through pregnancy because they’ve done it for many years and many of my friends and family also went to Optum but this big of a mistake could happen to me.

Katherine is an amazing provider, she really takes the time to listen to you and care about each visit. She is always super respectful and attentive of my feelings. She is also great at explaining each thing shes doing during a procedure putting my mind at ease. I would recommend her time and time again.

Katherine operates in a very trauma informed way that is very much appreciated while getting an examination. First time visiting her since my OBGYN retired, and I will certainly be back and recommend her to people in the area.
