About Katherine Duncan
Katie Duncan was born and raised in Texas, but is thrilled to now call Arizona home. Oklahoma State University is where she completed her undergraduate work, as well as where she gained her obsession with college football. It was also where she accomplished her EMT certification, which sparked her interest in medicine. After much consideration, Katie selected University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNT-HSC) in Fort Worth, Texas to pursue her love of medicine. It was during her studies there that she identified her true passion for dermatology. While at UNT-HSC, she also successfully completed rotations in surgery, pediatrics, gynecologic-oncology, family medicine, emergency medicine, and psychiatry; additionally she contributed her time to an under-served rotation in a rural area and to a medical mission trip to Mexico.
Katie spent several years working alongside some of the most established and talented Dermatologists in Fort Worth. Her specialties include acne and skin cancer. Katie also has experience with various dermatoses including eczema and psoriasis. She participated in the Fort Worth Dermatology Society meetings where medical professionals gather to discuss particularly complex cases as well as discuss the most up-to-date treatments for patients. She was also a member of the Dallas-Forth Worth (DFW) Journal Club, which reviewed the latest medical journal findings. Additionally, Katie is proud to be an alumni of the Northeast Tarrant County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Group.
Katie truly enjoys helping others look and feel their best. She consistently shares her knowledge and experience with the Clear Dermatology team and builds long-term, trusting relationships with her patients. When not working, Katie spends time with her husband and dogs and has a passion for gardening, crafting, traveling, and college football. Since moving to Arizona, She has enjoyed exploring the state and all the adventure it has to offer.
