About Dr. Katherine Emrich
Dr. Katherine Emrich received her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from National University of Health Sciences, in Lombard Illinois and earned her Bachelors of Science from Bradley University, in Peoria Illinois. While in Chiropractic school, she completed internships at Salvation Army, in Chicago, Illinois and Roudebush VA Hospital, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Emrich is passionate about educating patients on how to help themselves get out of pain and improve body mechanics to prevent reoccurrence of issues. She uses exercise focused rehabilitation to improve core stability and joint centration. Dr. Emrich views the doctor-patient relationship as a team, both individuals are equally involved in helping the patient achieved his/her health goals. She has completed MDT classes A-D. Dr. Emrichâs manual manipulation skills are founded through the principles of Motion Palpation Institute. She also has completed extensive additional course work in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization programs to expand her knowledge of functional rehabilitation. In her free time, Dr. Emrich enjoys walking her 2 dogs, training at her Crossfit gym and having family game nights with her family. Her parents are on the founding board of Safe Haven Dog Rescue, and she spends her weekends volunteering.

Dr. Emrich has been helping me manage my scoliosis for just over 2 years now and I could not be happier with her service! I came to the clinic when I was having a terrible migraine, neck and back pain and I felt helpless, feeling that there was no way I could live day to day without pain. Now, most days I don't have any pain at all!
Not only has she treated my initial issues, but she has opened the door for other forms of treatment for my other ailments such as Functional Medicine and Nutrition! I cannot recommend Dr. Emrich and Aligned Modern Health enough!

Iâve been coming to Aligned Modern Health for 2 months and Iâve never felt better! I came in for the first time to see Dr. Emrich and Ryan 4 weeks post partum. I was in a lot of pain and was taking ibuprofen every 4 hours and I hated it. Everything from my neck, shoulders, back and legs hurt aside as
Leo from my scoliosis bothering me more then ever after pregnancy.I was constantly thinking about how much Iâm hurting and it was depressing. Now after 8 weeks of coming in 2x a week I am energetic and pain free!! I donât even think about my pain! I can actually live my life and take care of my baby with a positive outlook. I cannot recommend this place enough!

I am a busy college athlete who had a herniated disc in my lower back. Dr. Emrich was able to fit me in and work around my schedule, as well as adjusting treatment plans to help me continue my progress at school. Dr. Emrich was also the first doctor to help me have pain relief, even more so than epidural injections.

I came into Dr. Emrich with a neck issue. It was perfectly evaluated and the treatment plan was perfect! Took a few weeks of visits and exercises to do at home and my issue was taken care of. I would recommend Dr. Emrich to family and friends.

I absolutely love Dr. Emrich! She helped me (is helping me) through a very difficult time in my life when I came down with multiple musculoskeletal issues at once. As an avid exerciser, this was quite a shock to me, but my lack of stretching, age, and poor posture finally caught up with me. Healing has been slow, but I enjoy going to Align Modern Health once a week to see her. She really knows what she is doing, gives me individual attention herself and through the PT assistant, and is fun to chat with. She is very encouraging and the times I felt like just giving up, she prompted me to continue. The entire team at Kildeer is amazing - Marissa at the front desk, Kari for massage, and Dr. Wilson (who recently left). This office runs like clockwork. I'm now bringing my daughter here to correct her posture before it affects her life later on.

Dr. Emrich is a very kind, patient, and knowledgeable doctor. My first appointment she listened, really listened to why I was there, and what I wanted to accomplish with my visits. After a thorough exam, she went to work. She drew up a plan that would elevate my pain for the long term. I am thrilled to say that I am pain free, and owe it all to her. I would highly recommend Dr. Emrich to my friends and family.

Dr. Emrich is extremely attentive. She actively listens and starts each session with asking questions. As a pregnant patient she was gentle, accommodating and respectful to my needs. I believe the care I was given by Dr. Emrich allowed me to have a comfortable and safe pregnancy.

Because of back problems that stemmed from herniated disc my orthopedic surgeon suggested that I see an MDT (aka McKenzie method) certified practitioner. From start to finish I have been pleased and impressed with Dr Emrich and the team she works with at Aligned Modern Health. Dr E was excellent at questioning, listening and evaluating along the way to fully understand what the issues were, using her knowledge and experience to logically find the right approach for my situation. I appreciate that she took time to answer my questions and explain her thinking and logic to help me better understand the mechanics of the body along with the impact of the exercises and treatments. I was impressed that she treated me as a unique individual and it felt as though there was a team effort with both she and I working towards a solution. I would certainly see her again if the need arose.

Every appt I've had here has been nothing short of amazing. My back has always been stiff and some days just hurts, starting here and seeing the dr as well as doing the exercises they help you with has helped me so incredibly much. I look forward to my weekly appointments.

Dr. Emrich is an amazing listener, who caters to every concern I bring up. She truly loves what she does and it shows! She does an amazing job meeting the needs of her clients on a personal and professional level. My experience with Dr. Emrich was my first chiropractic experience and Iâve recommended her to every family member and friend. She is knowledgeable, patient, caring, and personable. I see how she connects with other clients while I receive other treatments at the facility. She does a great job communicating with her clients. She always asks me how Iâm feeling before and after treatment. She then plans my visit according to the improvements Iâve made, activity or setbacks Iâve experienced in the week, and comes up with the best exercises and treatments to treat me at the time.
I recently suffered a concussion and the way she handled it was flawless. She restricted some of our activity and cautioned me on doing certain movements because of my concussion. A great blend of an ability to listen to her clients but still using her knowledge and experience to provide the best care.
After suffering from chronic pain from head to toe, I can say that getting treated by Dr. Emrich has gotten rid of every pain and ache I knew and didnât even know existed! I donât know how I ever lived my life without getting the care of a chiropractor but Iâm happy I found Dr. Emrich. I will continue to see her to maintain the improvements made by Dr. Emrich. She has made me feel like not just a client or patient, but a friend. Iâm beyond pleased by and grateful for Dr. Emrich!

Dr Emrich and the staff at Aligned Modern Health - Kildeer (Marissa, Ellie, and Kari) are all great to work with! Dr Emrich listens carefully to every concern that I have and she works quickly to address them with effective chiropractic treatments, physical therapy/rehabilitation, and massage therapy. This team is helping me to stay physically active and fit.

I appreciated the time Dr.Emrich took during my visit to discuss and educate me as she was providing treatment. This was my first chiro experience so I was slightly nervous, she made sure that I was comfortable step by step during the process. I would highly recommend her to anyone that is skeptical about chiropractic care.

I am a runner and have had low back issues on and off for a little while now. Recently, I had a flare up and saw Dr Emrich for my first chiropratic session ever. She was fantastic at explaining the importance of proper form and balanced activity. After a few short sessions with her, I feel stronger and more confident in my runs than ever!

Dr. Emrich is one of the best motivators I have seen. She quickly identifies the key areas of concern and provides holistic to help strengthen the foundational issue. As you progress, she is flexible on the care plan. She has no problem deviating from the original plan to deal when something more urgent arises
I would highly recommend Dr. Emrich to anyone looking to become more active and addressing any historical aches and pains in a holistic manner

Love that she educates me through the entire visit and has helped me develop good strength form while also moving away from pain. Highly recommend.
