Kathleen McInnis, PMHNP, is driven by a passion for mental health and the goal of empowering positive change in the mental, physical and interpersonal well-being of an individual. While holding a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Tennessee, Kathleen pursued a Master of Science in Nursing--Psychiatric Mental Health from Vanderbilt University. With extensive experience in diverse mental health disorders and populations, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, Kathleen has consistently demonstrated passion and competency in high quality mental health care.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I provide high quality mental health care that focuses on your personal goals and symptomatology, using therapeutic communication and modalities that best fit your needs. Although my primary role is in diagnosis and medication management, I value time listening to and collaborating with my patients while providing counseling and support.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Mental health care involves a respectable amount of vulnerability from the patient. I work hard to get to know and understand my patients, and build rapport to establish a positive therapeutic relationship. I listen to your needs and collaborate with you to achieve your goals. I am here to work together with you and help meet your needs.

Kathleen was a delight to work with! Her office sent the paperwork within five minutes of booking the appointment (which was same day by the way) and I submitted the paperwork quickly and efficiently.
