Getting to know Kathleen Udovich
I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who specializes in providing psychiatric evaluation and medication management to patients suffering from depression, anxiety, psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder, ADHD, substance misuse, and other mental health issues across the lifespan. I endeavor to treat the whole person empathetically, compassionately, and non-judgmentally while maintaining the patient's dignity. I utilize a humanistic approach to assist clients in self-actualization so they can live their lives to the fullest. I apply current evidence-based practices to provide safe, holistic care and continually seek educational opportunities and training to remain current with treatment options. I hold a Master's in Nursing from Walden University, and I earned my Bachelor's degrees from the College of St. Scholastica and the University of Minnesota. Additionally, I have training as an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP).
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I offer appointments online via telehealth at this time. I can see patients anywhere in Minnesota. I am available on Fridays, Saturdays, and some evenings.
The initial appointment is 90 minutes, and follow-up appointments are 30 minutes. I will ask about previous medication providers and past medical and psychiatric history.
Brief supportive therapy is incorporated into the session.
I also see patients in person at Range Mental Health Center in Ely, MN . If you live in Ely, I can see you at RMHC.

Kathy has always been very kind and professional when working with me. She knows her stuff, and does a good job explaining things, while also showing interest and care for me as a patient. She is open to being creative with a treatment plan based on my needs, and listens to my feedback. She was genuinely happy for me when my medications began showing positive effects. She showed interest in hearing about how I was actually doing in addition to just the basic discussion of the medical treatment. She's a great practitioner.
