About Kathryn Giunta
Dr. Kathryn Giunta joined CT ENT Sinus Center Hearing & Balance as a board certified Nurse Practitioner in 2020. Before becoming a member of the team full time, Dr. Giunta trained under Dr. Robert Weiss in her last year of her doctorate, focusing on ear, nose, and throat care.
She graduated from Quinnipiac University, Magna Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a minor in Spanish, which she uses frequently in the clinical setting. While working as a bedside nurse as part of Yale New Haven Health system float pool, she gained valuable patient experience on over 50 different inpatient units. Dr. Giunta also recently earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Quinnipiac University where she was the recipient of the Holistic Nursing Practice Award. During her graduate program, she was a founding member and President of the Graduate Student Nurses Association to encourage networking and community outreach for her fellow nurse practitioner students. Dr. Giunta attained her board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Dr. Giunta holds professional certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support, and is a Certified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse. She is also a standing member of the American Nurses Association and the Stigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, Tau Rho Chapter.
