About Dr. Katie Goonan Sussman

Dr. Sussman entered the field of Pediatrics as she truly enjoys getting to know pediatric patients and their families and love watching children grow and develop over time. She tries to work as a partner with patients and families to promote health and well being as well as to treat and prevent illness. Dr. Sussman has a particular interest in childhood behavior and development. In addition, she is proficient in Spanish and have an interest in caring for patients and families with limited English proficiency. Dr. Sussman attended college at Dartmouth College and graduated in 2002. She then worked as a volunteer in Alaska for a year prior to attending medical school at Johns Hopkins University from 2003-2007. After medical school, Dr. Sussman attended pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins, graduating in 2010. Subsequently, she worked as a pediatrician for three years at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center prior to joining Genesee Pediatrics in 2013.
