I am a board-certified, licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with 15 years of experience in healthcare. I provide both medication management and psychotherapy, offering integrated, whole-person care for patients of all ages.
I treat a range of conditions, including ADHD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, perimenopausal anxiety, and age-related memory and mood changes, and I also offer couples counseling. For patients interested in reducing or discontinuing psychotropic medications, I provide compassionate, evidence-informed support to manage withdrawal symptoms and restore long-term well-being.

I am a board certified licensed Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 15 years experience in healthcare. I can prescribe medications and conduct psychotherapy both. I can treat conditions - ADHD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, memory issues (old age mood disturbances),and couples counseling, can treat patients of all ages. We provide compassionate, evidence-informed support for individuals seeking to reduce or eliminate psychotropic medications, addressing withdrawal symptoms and offering comprehensive strategies to restore well-being. Don't self diagnose based on internet searches, SEEK help.
I am currently accepting patients for both in-person and online therapy sessions, providing flexibility to meet your needs. My practice has offices in both NY & NJ, take most insurances except Medicaid, available appointments on Saturdays too. Services also offered in Hindi/Punjabi/ Urdu besides English.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Appointment & Cancellation Policy — Kapoor Cares LLC
We ask for your understanding and cooperation with the following policies, which allow us to provide timely care to all patients.
Booking Requirements;
All appointments must include a completed patient intake form and a copy of your current insurance card (front and back) at the time of scheduling. Appointments with missing or incomplete information may be canceled without further notice.
Cancellation Notice:
We require at least 24 business hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Late Cancellations & No-Shows:
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, will be subject to a fee of $50. This fee is not billed to insurance and is the patient's responsibility.
Repeated No-Shows:
Patients with two or more no-shows or late cancellations within a 6 month period may be discharged from the practice at the provider's discretion, in accordance with applicable state regulations governing patient discharge and continuity of care.
Unverified or Suspected Fraudulent Bookings
:Appointments that cannot be confirmed as legitimate — including those with invalid contact information, unverifiable insurance, incomplete intake documentation, or no response to confirmation attempts — will be canceled prior to the scheduled time whenever possible. We reserve the right to require identity or insurance verification before confirming any appointment.
New Patients:
Unconfirmed appointments may be released to accommodate other patients.

We started with some technical difficulties but managed to get through that. I appreciated her input and suggestions but she launched into solutions before asking about my background. She talked more than asked questions. We agreed on an appointment time. She set the appointment for a time that I had already told her that I wasn't available. I thought I would meet with her a couple more times to see if we were a fit. However due to her not listening to my appointment availability, I decided to cancel the appointment.
