About Dr. Kavita Sharma
I grew up in Buffalo, N.Y. and East Lansing, MI. I went to undergraduate at Michigan State University, where both my parents are faculty. I then attended medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. It is one of the largest medical schools in the country and I got to see a lot of interesting medical conditions there. I did my residency training at University of Michigan, which is a renowned medical center. After that, I served on staff there for two years, teaching medical students and residents.I feel that I am finally able to build relationships with my patients and take the extra care needed since I am now in control of my schedule.

Unfortunately I had to follow up on a lab order because the codes were not going to be paid for by Medicare. I called the office several times over a weeks time and no one answered. I left messages 3 times with no calls back. This is not acceptable for me.?

It was okay. The best type of care is when providers listen rather than dismissing your concerns. When asked how I would get my results the front desk said they would mail it to you. Alot of facilities have upgraded and especially being in Silicon Valley. Oh and proceeded to say “oh it may take up to 3 weeks since the doctor will be on vacation.” They need to update their system especially w lab results.

I love her. Dr. Sharma's spot on when it comes to diagnosing issues and resolving them. She's also really friendly and easy to talk to. She remembers how my life is going! After seeing so many patients too! The only thing I did not like was having to wait 30 minutes for my appointment to start. Book earlier if you have a busy schedule.

Wait time to get roomed was short and Dr. Sharma was in the room within 5 min. She was very kind, professional, and understanding. Front desk staff was nice but seemed a little less enthusiastic.

I respect Dr. Sharma: she's dynamic, easy to chat with, and concise. I appreciate her helpfulness and admire that she tries to get to know you a little too. What I'd like to see more is a little more body talk because I still had questions during our visit but they got short-ended. I'd say come in with a clear written agenda of what you need help with. She gave me the directions for external care help and meds, and that was great. Cheers.

She immediately fat-shamed me as soon as she walked into the office. I'm not even that big, I'm 160 at 5"3'. Yes, I'm bigger than I should be but she called me "obese". I am perfectly healthy says my bloodwork. I just carry more weight. I cannot even imagine how she treats people bigger than me. Horribly, I suspect. Do not go to this doctor unless you are skinny. Her solution for everything I was there for was to lose weight despite my issues not being weight related.

Dr Sharma was such a delight to work with. She asked a lot of questions to make sure she had a good idea of my current state of health and wasn't intrusive at all. She even made sure to provide me with great preventative health tips. I definitely will be coming back to Dr Sharma for my future visits/checkups.
