What should a new client know about working with you?

I aim to create a calm, welcoming environment where you can speak openly without fear of being judged. Our sessions are a conversation and not an interrogation. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, but I’ll also give you space to share what feels most important to you. Your story, identity, and lived experiences matter. I approach care with cultural humility and an awareness of how trauma whether it be past or present, can shape how you feel, think, and relate to others. I believe you bring strengths, resilience, and wisdom into the visits. My role is to help you build on those strengths, clarify your goals, and support you in moving toward the life you want. Treatment is always individualized and never a one-size-fits-all. Depending on your needs, we may use different approaches where treatment options are explained clearly and make decisions with you, not for you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session is a calm, conversational space where I get to know you, your concerns, your strengths, your goals, and what you hope to gain from treatment. There’s no pressure to share everything at once. You set the pace. Once I understand what brings you in, we work together to identify what you want to focus on. Your goals guide the direction of our work, and they can evolve over time as you grow and gain clarity. My goal is to help you feel better and build the skills, insight, and confidence to maintain your well-being long term. I want you to leave each session feeling supported, understood, and empowered.
