Getting to know Keisha Hayes

Healing begins when we feel that we have been seen, heard, and understood. Sometimes in life it is difficult to face who we really are, and accepting our authentic selves, which is the key to achieving true freedom. As an Army Veteran, and a person who worked for 32 years in Corporate America, I am now a dedicated Mental Health Therapist who is passionate to help those being held back by fear, anxiety, depression, sadness, and inner criticism. This can be accomplished through self-discovery, self-understanding, self-love, and self-compassion. Through this scope, I help people to identify, address, and create resolutions to move meaningfully, purposefully, and positively in life in order to reach their future goals. I am enthusiastic about aiding people to discover, define, and understand themselves, by slowing down in order to explore your thoughts and dreams. I believe that people have exactly what it takes to live the lives that they want, but they need assistance with sharpening their iron by developing new ways of coping and thriving, depending on your specific needs. With a compassionate and collaborative perspective grounded in evidence-based practices, I am aware that no single approach is the right one for everyone. My therapeutic technique is a unique blend of Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Collaborative Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, and Mindfulness Therapy to assist with supporting individuals as a whole person, while combining insight with action. It is my belief that people are the experts in their own lives and I will assist with guiding you on your unique journey of self-discovery and healing.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable and many of the people I work with are used to being strong for others while silently struggling within themselves. Together, we can create a safe and supportive space to process emotions, increase self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, and build a healthier relationship with yourself so you can move through life with more confidence, clarity, and peace.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My therapeutic approach is warm, compassionate, and grounded in helping you to reconnect with your voice, your worth, and your mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. I believe healing is not about becoming someone different, but learning how to better nurture, understand, love, and trust yourself through life’s challenges.
