“Kelly is doing a great job helping with my meds and symptoms. I've never had a prescriber ask about my life and want to hear what is going on. It's usually any side effects? Whatev, heres a new prescription and out the door. Very impersonal in past encounters with a prescriber. This has been a relief. ”

Getting to know Kelly Ausman

Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety, a mood disorder, or a personality disorder, we all desire happy, fulfilling lives. To reach a new place, there must be a willingness and commitment to do the work. I will challenge you to spend your free time differently. Together, we will analyze what you choose to fill your thoughts with and the activities you currently engage in. ?The pain of not changing has to be greater than the pain of changing? before we are ready to make a true commitment to healing. I will assist you in recognizing these patterns with the aim of shifting away from the pain-change cycle toward more forward-thinking thought processes. It is important to note that once you?re able to change certain thought patterns, change will not be painful but freeing. I can prescribe appropriate medications if desired to help you on your treatment path or manage medications you may currently be taking. My personal experience is that medication can be a powerful tool as you learn how to process life in more positive ways. For some, medication may be temporary as new neural pathways form. Research shows medication therapy is best when used alongside talk therapy. We will explore any childhood trauma that may be negatively impacting today?s thoughts and reactions. I am a follower of Christ and have seen His love heal many a broken heart. I can encourage your relationship with Him, but only if you desire this. I will never impose my thoughts and beliefs on you. I truly want you to find the happiness you seek; I care. I hold a Master?s degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the University of Cincinnati, which informs my compassionate and evidence-based approach to care.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Great mental health provider. She listened to me, heard me, and recognized my conditions before I mentioned them. Easy to talk to, I truly felt comfortable being honest about myself.

Kelly already seems like a friend to me.
If you are a religious person, I recommend seeing her. She advised me to pray, even though I said I was not religious. Definitely not what I'm looking for. Regardless, Kelly was very nice and supportive. Not a great fit for me, but could be for someone else!
Kelly Ausman is absolutely wonderful. She listened to my issues with care, expertise and experience and worked out a wonderful plan for me. Highly recommend!

11/10 recommend Kelly Ausman. Listened to me, trusted me to know myself and my symptoms. Kind, caring—genuinely listened to what I had to say. Explained everything to me in detail and made sure I understood. Maybe it’s just because the appointment was online, but it felt more casual and comfortable than any healthcare appointment I’ve been to, and it made me immediately at ease. Already have a follow up scheduled with her, very pleased with my appointment
