“I have been doing physical training and nutrition with Kelly for over 20 years and that is why as I approach my 80th birthday I feel energetic, healthy and ready to enjoy a new decade. Kelly has supported my healthy choices and workouts that I would have given up long ago if it was left up to me. It has totally been a blessing and added to my quality of life to work with Kelly and it will continue to do so.”

“I was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in January 2026. I decided against traditional cancer treatment (chemo, radiation). Because I have to take in nutrition by tube-feeding, I need a good nutritionist to make sure I'm taking in proper nutrition. Finding a qualified nutritionist was not as easy I thought it would be. I am so happy I found Kelly. She is positive, upbeat and I am filled with confidence about her nutritional and whole-body knowledge and experience. She is very easy to work with and responds to questions quickly.”

About Kelly Calabrese

I am a Board Certified Clinical Nutritionist at Optimal Wellness Solutions. Throughout my life, I have developed a passion for fitness and nutrition and a desire to help others achieve their health and wellness goals. It is all about education and awareness. Our insurance-based healthcare system is going bust. We have more stress now than any previous generations. We need to keep healthy and strong to endure what is coming down the pike. A little history of how I got started in the clinical nutrition world. I was a sick little girl going in and out of doctor’s offices for nearly 10 years. They kept telling me my symptoms were in my head. I could have strangled the next doctor to tell me the same thing. When I was finally diagnosed with a blood sugar disorder, hypoglycemia, at age 16, my life changed dramatically. I researched diabetes and understood exercise would help regulate blood insulin levels. I was able to feel healthy and well for 2 decades until the ski accident. The ski accident broke me in more ways than one. I was in and out of doctors once again. I vowed to myself when I was age 16 that if I got sick again, I would take the bull by the horns and figure it out for myself. Well, I did. It only took me 4 months to figure out the root cause of my symptoms, but it took me several more years to become well. I put myself in the position of a guinea pig. I tried many therapies and many support systems. I had numerous testing done. Once I got well, I went back to school to study Pre-Med, Nutrition and Post Graduate Studies in Functional Endocrinology, Immunology, and Neurology. I am grateful for my journey and my path has led me to help others. It has been a privilege and honor to teach and educate individuals of all ages on nutrition, fitness, health, and wellness. I look forward to many more years of inspiring clients.
