Kelsey Macieunas, CCC - SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist
NC
Hi! I'm Kelsey. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2021. I grew up watching my mom in the healthcare field. She's been a practicing Occupational Therapist for over 20 years. When it came time to choose a career field, I knew I wanted to work within a therapy setting to follow in my mom's footsteps. This led me to choosing to work in the field of speech language pathology. I have always been passionate about working with children. In 2018, I attended Temple University in Philadelphia where I gained valuable experience with the Philadelphia Aphasia Community. This heightened my interest in working with adults. After graduation, I attended Bloomsburg University to receive my Master's degree where I gained extensive experience with school-based therapy and the in patient clinic setting. I have learned to love this field because I can work with a wide variety of clients. I accepted a job in 2020 and made the move to sunny Florida! In Florida, I have worked in the school setting, tele therapy with a school, a skilled nursing facility, and an outpatient clinic. I enjoy a collaborative approach to therapy whether that be with other therapy team members and/or families to ensure that I am providing the best care possible. I have worked in settings such as school, outpatient clinic, teletherapy, and skilled nursing facilitiy. I would describe my clinical style as client-centered, functional, individualized/personalized, family-centric, and strengths-based.
