What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe that effective mental health care begins with feeling heard, respected, and understood. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, and I take the time to understand each patient’s concerns, history, and personal goals. During our visits, we’ll work together to better understand what you’re experiencing and develop an individualized treatment plan that fits your needs and preferences. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable discussing your concerns. When appropriate, treatment may include medication management, education, lifestyle recommendations, and ongoing support. My goal is to partner with you throughout your mental health journey and help you feel more confident, supported, and empowered in your care.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During your initial visit, we’ll take time to discuss your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, medications, and treatment goals. I’ll ask questions to better understand what you’re experiencing and, when appropriate, develop a diagnosis and individualized treatment plan with you. Follow-up visits are an opportunity to check in on your progress, discuss any changes or concerns, assess medication effectiveness and side effects when applicable, and adjust your treatment plan as needed. I believe treatment works best when we make decisions together, so your preferences and goals are an important part of the process. While my primary focus is psychiatric evaluation and medication management, I also incorporate supportive, therapeutic conversations and practical strategies to help you better understand and manage your symptoms. My goal is for each visit to feel comfortable, collaborative, and focused on helping you move toward better mental health and well-being.
