Prior to joining Kelsey-Seybold in 2018, Dr. Ogunmakin spent three years as a general and cosmetic dermatologist at a Houston cosmetic and medical dermatology center and a principal investigator and sub-investigator conducting dermatologic clinical trials to test the safety and efficacy of new medication and product improvements for pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies. Dr. Ogunmakin evaluated and treated patients for general dermatologic conditions, performed surgical procedures, performed photodynamic therapy and chemical peels, conducted patch testing for allergic dermatitis, and other medical and cosmetic treatments. Dr. Ogunmakin enjoys traveling and spending time with her son, husband, family, and friends. The best advice Dr. Ogunmakin ever received is to “listen more than you speak.” The most interesting place she’s visited is Beijing and the “awe-inspiring” Great Wall of China. Many people may not know it, but Dr. Ogunmakin is a twin. Her guilty pleasure is watching Nigerian movies while enjoying extra-rich chocolate cake.
